Where Creativity Becomes Advocacy.
Advocacy Through the Arts is an innovative program by Discipline n Ability= Skills 4 Life, LLC that empowers individuals with disabilities to discover their voices through creativity. We believe art has the power to educate, inspire, and transform communities while creating opportunities for independence, leadership, and self-expression.
Participants explore a wide range of artistic disciplines, including visual arts, podcasting, journalism, acting, scriptwriting, filmmaking, photography, digital media, Scrabble, and technology, to build confidence, communication skills, and creative talents. Along the way, they learn to tell their own stories, advocate for themselves and others, and become active contributors to their communities.
Our classes are designed specifically for transition-age youth and adults with different abilities who are preparing for life after high school, seeking meaningful social connections, or exploring career pathways in the creative arts and media industries. Every class combines hands-
on instruction with leadership development, teamwork, and real-world experiences that prepare participants for employment, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.
